Shane makes a mean pizza pie. Tonight we realized that he also tends to make pizza when there’s a big storm coming. We had two pies, a Margherita (fresh mozzarella, basil, sauce), and a four-cheese white pie with yellow peppers, arugula and a squeeze of lemon. Yum.
Ok, hold on. I have been hearing for years, YEARS, Shane’s idea of a “proper meal” and no where in there does a margeherita pizza (which is technically bread and cheese) fit in to that description, so you are going to have to stop slandering his good name ;)

What exactly constitutes a ‘proper meal’ for Shane is something that no one has ever been able to figure out. I’m not even sure if Shane could explain it himself. For a while, we thought you could add bacon or prosciutto to a meal to make it ‘proper,’ but it turns out it doesn’t work every time.
Maybe it is only a proper meal if it is something he likes to eat. The way i can tell if Rob didn’t like a meal i made: he will only eat the first serving i give him and then a half an hour after dinner is over he sneaks to the kitchen and eats a bowl of cereal. Then it is a “proper meal”.
